NC DEMO October Blog Hop-Theme is Thank-Fall

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year even in Florida, I don't miss raking leaves, as pretty as they are not so much fun to rake in the fall.  Even in Florida we have cooler weather and we are enjoying it this week.

I have been playing with an older technique called Polished Stone this week, sometimes I forget about some of the older techniques that are still great.  I hope you like it.

With this technique you put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and add 3 drops of 3 coordinating inks on the cotton ball (cajun craze, old olive and crushed curry are the colors I used on this card) and dab it on the glossy card stock; (no two cards will look alike) set aside and let dry and add memento ink for leaves and I also added leaves that I cut out and a tag on top of the thin copper thread.

Check out the rest of these fabulous North Carolina Stampin' UP! demonstrators.

  1. Gorgeous card, Frances! I am adding Polished Stone back onto my stamping to do list. I forgot how much I love it!

  2. I love the Polished Stone technique almost as much as I love the Colorful Seasons bundle. It's so perfect for fall, well, any season, but I love fall!
