Some of you were wanting the recipe for Cracker Candy I served so I thought I would share it. It is such an easy dessert and I am all about easy when it comes to cooking especially.
1 tube of saltine crackers
2 sticks of melted butter
12 oz chocolate chips
1 cup brown sugar
Line cookie sheet with foil spread crackers evenly on sheet.
1 cup of chopped pecans (or nuts of your choice)
Combine brown sugar with oleo and cook 3 minutes. Remove from heat and gently ladle over crackers. Bake 7 minutes at 350% while hot pour a 12 oz package of chocolate chips over mixture. With flat blade of knife or small spatula spread the chips as they melt chopped add chopped nuts at this time. Once it is cooled place in freezer for a few minutes. You can now break the candy into pieces. The foil will peel away during this process.
